The 3D HD imaging system offers a precise spatial perception and vision of the anatomy of patients. Thanks to the sharpness of the images, the use of this technique significantly shortens the intervention time and gives the surgeon greater precision. In this way it increases the safety for the patient during the procedure, the postoperative complications as well as the time of hospital stay are considerably reduced.
It is indicated for nephrectomy and nephroureterectomy (in patients with renal cancer or cancer of the urinary tract respectively), as well as for radical prostatectomy with preservation of bands (in patients with prostate cancer) and radical cystectomy with urinary diversion (in patients with bladder cancer).
- Advantages in radical prostatectomy
The use of the 3D HD imaging system in radical prostatectomies allows to better identify the existing structures around the prostate, achieving a lower affectation of the nerves of the erection.
Improves the vision of the urethra and bladder neck, which allows the suture to be performed more quickly and easily, getting a better continence of urine.
- Advantages in partial nephrectomy
The use of the 3D HD imaging system in partial nephrectomies improves the precision in the dissection of the tumor plane and decreases ischemia time.
